Emilie is a Minnesota native from the Fridley area. While attending Totino-Grace High School she was a four year letter winner, three-time captain, four-time team MVP, four conference award winner, and four section award winner in cross country. She had almost matching success on the track taking 4th place at the State meet and setting the school record in the 800m. Her high school achievements were highlighted by earning the prestigious Athena Award for the Eagles in 2021. 

 

After high school, Emilie was recruited to be a Bulldog at Drake University. She raced both cross country and track in the blue and white, gaining steady momentum from her freshman to senior years. She moved up the ranks on the team and in her races, placing second in the MVC Outdoor Track and Field Championships as a junior in the 800. As a senior, Meyer collected 5 wins for her team during the indoor season, before capping off her career with a win in the 800 at the Drake Relays, and a berth at the NCAA West Regional with a time of 2:03.43.


 

Meyer joins Minnesota Distance Elite as a true middle distance hopeful with big goals on the indoor and outdoor track.
