NCAA DI Cross Country Nationals individual qualifier

Dana grew up in Trempealeau, Wisconsin, where she attended Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau High School. She was a talented cross country and track performer throughout high school earning five Wisconsin State Championships across her tenure. As a junior, she never lost a cross country meet to another Wisconsinite and was named the Wisconsin Cross Country Gatorade Player of the Year.

Dana then joined the Iowa State Cyclones where she earned a Big-12 Championship in the Outdoor 5000m, qualified multiple times for the NCAA Division I Midwest Regionals, was an NCAA DI Cross Country Nationals individual qualifier, and a three-time Big-12 All Conference honoree in cross country. She finished with personal bests of 9:22.46 (3000m), 15:58.33 (5000m) and 33:04.82 (10,000m).

Dana joined Minnesota Distance Elite in August of 2024 and had a strong first calendar year with the team. She competed in a full season of cross country, ultimately placing 8th at the 2025 USATF Cross Country Championships in Lubbock, Texas. She then turned her focus off the grass with top 10 finishes at The TEN, Save the 10,000m with Des and Kara, and Brian Kraft 5K, and a win at the 2025 Firecracker Run 10K. She will be exploring more road races in future seasons with her sights set on the marathon.
