Kaylee Beyer grew up in Mukwonago, Wisconsin where she attended Mukwonago High School and competed on the track and cross country teams. She was a standout performer from the start placing 14th at the WIAA Cross Country State Championships as a freshman. She specialized in the middle distances in track and was a strong team player participating 4X400, SMR, DMR, and 4X800 relays. She finished high school with PRs of 2:20 (800m), 5:15 (1600m), and 18:26 (5000m XC).
Kaylee committed to the Winona State Warriors to continue her running career and pursue Composite Materials Engineering and Materials Chemistry. During her time on the team she experienced steady improvement, which she attributes to team culture and working with a sports psychologist. She graduated as a multi-time NSIC conference champion and multi-time Division II Indoor and Outdoor Track and Field and Cross Country Nationals qualifier. By the time she graduated, she had dropped 11 seconds in the 800, 35 seconds in the mile, and almost two minutes in the cross country 5K.
After completing a solo track season during the spring of 2025, Kaylee joined Minnesota Distance Elite in August. She will continue chasing her goals on the track while exploring some of the longer distances.
